How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2617344 / WD24X10018 Piston & Nut Assembly

I replaced piston and nut assembly. Very easy fix. Video on your website was very helpful. 

Through logic and reason I checked the drain hose first and then proceeded to check the drain outlet inside the washer. Found the rubber seal inside the Piston & Nut Assembly was rotted away so the piston was not able to shut off and seal the drain when the cycle triggered it to close. It turned out to be an easy fix and again works perfect. I also appreciated your on line site which helped me locate the part and the ease of ordering it. Three days after my on line contact the part was delivered to my front door.

After cleaning the filters, which did nothing to help the problem, your website indicated to check the piston and nut assembly and told me what to look for if this was the problem. I ordered the new part, which arrived the next day, and the dishwasher now works great. 

Replaced the drain valve 

This site save me alot of money. Used the model number inside the dishwasher. Ordered the check valve and door seal. Problem solved ! 

I replaced the scavenger valve on the inside rear of the wash tub. Very easy. Totally effective. A technician would have been in and out of the house in a half hour and presented a sizeable bill (probably reasonable, too). I'm an old man with a lack of flexibility and I found this job very easy and quick.

It was acting just the piston that fixed problem, but the new screen on bottom makes it look brand new
