How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5803461 / WH23X10030 Drain Pump

Researched the part and found a great price on AppliancePartsPros.com. Also looked at the How-To video for the pump replacement. Couldn't have been easier! It literally took me 15 minutes to do the repair. Thanks for the factory replacement part and the great instructional video! 

Replaced the pump. Now the washer drains like it’s supposed to. The part was exactly like the other one. Getting the hose clamp back on was the hardest part. It’s not the screw-type clamp. Used channel locks. 

The part ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com fit perfectly. The online video for installation was precise and understandable. The repair took less than 15 minutes to complete.

PUT DRAIN F PUMP IN 

The pump was easy to replace with a 3/8" socket and pliers. The hardest part was getting the clips to unseat from the front panel of the washer. Use a putty knife. Draining the washer manually with buckets, etc. took time but the problem was fixed. 

Local "Maytag Repairman" who "services all brands" told me I was better of buying a new machine. His least expensive was over $1,000. After finding a replacement pump for my GE machine at Appliance Parts Pros, I decided I had nothing to lose. Received the new pump in less than 24 hours after ordering. The pump was an OEM exact replacement for $50. Watched the video on Appliance Parts Pros website and the removal of the old pump and installation of the new pump was simple. Ordered a pump that was $63 total with shipping took me less than 30 minutes to put it in. Saved me from buying a new $600 washing machine. 

I didn't know anything about fixing the problem. I started with YouTube. Found a video by Appliance Parts Pros. The video was simple and direct. Once I locate the old pump and removed it, I found a underwater from a bra that caused the problem. I reinstalled the old pump only to see it fail again. So I ordered the new pump from Appliance Parts Pro's. I ordered it on a Sunday and got it on Thursday. I felt that was very quick and happy. Friday after work I put the new pump in, which took less than 30 minutes and it has worked great ever since. This is not the first time I have ordered Parts from Appliance Parts Pro's. All my appliances are GE brand. I had an issue with the dishwasher, watched a video ordered the parts and all is working. I will be ordering a part for my fridge soon.
