How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4412605 / WD12X10278 Roller Axle

Replaced wheel stud retainers. The new ones were an updated design. 

Replaced studs on all the wheels 

I watched the helpful installation video before fixing. 

I popped new studs into my old wheels and popped them onto the rack. 

Easy fix with the new parts 

Opened package, snapped together peices, and snapped them to the lower rack. That easy. 

The replacement roller studs were a big improvement over the original design, and appear to have solved the problem. 

This was a simple fix that involved replacing the roller studs (axles) that held the wheels on the bottom dishwasher rack. The replacement pieces appeared to be of better design than the originals. GE made some upgrades. The wheels easily snapped on to the axle and then a clip held the axle tightly in place on the dishwasher rack. My wife is happy because she no longer has to worry about the wheels falling off when she opens the dishwasher! Easy and affordable fix. 

Replaced old damaged roller studs on bottom rack. simply popped out the old one and popped the new one in. The wheels were falling off the rack before, making it rather frustrating to roll in/out the rack. I had to lift up the rack and basically put it in place in the washing machine. Now, it slides in perfectly! 

Replaced the clips with new ones that have a new design that will not fall off of the rack unless they physically break.
