How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3860882 / WD08X10059 Lower Door Seal

Replaced lower door seal. The video on AppliancePartsPros.com was excellent and made this repair very simple to accomplish. 

We ordered the lower door seal replacement part because the rubber strip deteriorated causing a leak through the bottom of the door. We used a screwdriver to disassemble the interior part of the door, slid the new piece along the groove, and put the interior door back together. 

I received the replacement part within 2 days of ordering it. The instructional video on AppliancePartsPros.com was easy to follow, showing how to remove the door panel, remove the old seal and install the new seal. I had a bit of a struggle trying to get the new seal to slide on - I probably didn't do a good enough job of cleaning the plastic rail that it slides onto. Once installed, there was no more leak. 

Took door apart added new gasket put back together . Thank's for the video it was on the money ! 

I was easy getting to the front seal. But, I had to use pliers to loosen and pull the old seal out because of build-up in the tracks. I also used a rubber mallet to gently tap the new seal into place. 

Replaced lower door seal and tub gasket. 

Replaced bottom door seal/ gasket 

Got two gaskets. I watched the how-to video and put it together it was helpful. Piece of cake thanks to the video. 

Look online for parts. Ordered from you and watched a video. All went well
