How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4355888 / WD08X10075 Dishwasher Lower Door Gasket

Removed dishwasher from counter mounts (two screws). Shut off water supply and disconnected drain line. Removed drain pump and cleaned. Unseated, cleaned and re-seated backflow flaps in the drain line. Disassembled drain line (mounted to dishwasher) at lower elbow joint. Removed debris and cleaned trap, unseated, cleaned and re-seated backflow flap. Reassembled all. Replaced tub and door gasket. Reconnected all supply and drain lines. Drains great, washs great, no leaks, no standing water, no issues. 

Replaced the bottom gaskey 

Easy fix just removed the inside panel of the door located the grove that holds the part slide out the old and in with the new and completed in just minutes. I always try things first then if I can’t fix it I will pay someone 

I watched the repair video and it took me about an hour to fix it all by myself. I saved myself a lot of money by just replacing this one little piece. 

I found the part on AppliancePartsPros website, ordered it and when it arrived I followed the easy video instructions and saved well over $100. 

We replaced the Lower Door Gasket and were pleasantly surprised that it fixed the problem! 

Replacing both the tub and lower door gaskets. Online videos provide valuable info on troubleshooting leaks as.well as conducting the repair even if you exact model isn't portrayed. At 20 years old my GE Profile dishwasher lower door gaskets had shrunk and started to crumble allowing the leak. 

Just like the video. If you have the two plastic weld plugs on the inner panel, shave the head off the one on the side you're going into with a utility blade and then have some screws to put in the unused holes when finished. I added all six, and the door has a much more solid feel to it now. 

Replaced the lower door gasket and tub gasket. Tub gasket was very easy. The lower door gasket was a little tricky to get into the track, but overall easy. 

I ordered a new gasket and watched the free repair video, followed the easy instructions.
