How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7188094 / WD21X24900C Electronic Control Board

Replaced main control board. Great how-to video on Youtube. Search on 'GE Dishwasher Error Code 815'. Replacement board was sent in two days. Was unaware there was a core charge until I received the replacement part. Sent in original part to AppliancePartsPros for core charge refund. 

Replaced the main electrical board 

Disconnecting power for 5 or more minutes would reset machine. This would occur every few days. Replaced control board fixed the problem. 

Very easy. Watched your video and ordered the part. It only took three days to come in. Did the repair. It was very easy. 

I replaced the door latch first, but it didn't fix the problem. A few months ago I had replaced the user interface board. So the only thing left to be replaced was the main control board. I watched a video on AppliancePartsPros.com on control board replacement. The part arrived in 2 days. I fixed it the same day. It took about 20 min. I didn't need to detach any water hose or wiring. It took longer to squeeze the unit back under the counter. I ran a cycle with a dishwasher cleaner tablet and it did perfectly. The video was very helpful. 

I ordered the control board ( WD21X24900C ). The part arrived the next day and I replaced the board the following day. The panel is a plug-and-play part. We now have a working dishwasher. This was a great experience.

I replaced the control board. Unfortunately, this did not fix the issues and I've ordered a UI board to replace as well.
