How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7188094 / WD21X24900C Electronic Control Board

I read a lot of discussions and reckoned that it was the electronic control board. That was the problem. We had this problem six months ago, but it was temporarily fixed by turning off and on the power source to reset. That time I sent back the part but six months later, we had the same problem and the power reset wasn’t fixing it. I basically surmised from a lot of discussions that I read that it was the electronic control board but I wasn’t completely sure. So, I ordered the part again and with the help of the AppliancePartsPros.com video for that specific part I just replaced it and it’s working woo hoo.. 

After diagnosing and finding the part on your website, I ended up replacing the control board. I followed instructions from "Drewin' Around" on YouTube at https://youtu.be/SnlGOBVZt1U?si=fqwXsxpkKWMOj916. His dishwasher model was similar to mine and control board was located in the same place. Removed 5 screws and disconnected 5 wiring harnesses. Easy to replace! I immediately turned the power back on to the dishwasher and started it up. Thanks for ease of use of your website and giving me the confidence that I was ordering the correct part as it is was discontinued by the manufacturer.. 

Removed the control board from underneath unit and replaced with new updated 8.16 board. 

First I replaced the door latch unit but that didnt resolve the problem. Then I replaced the controller board and problem was resolved. 

I looked up a lot of stuff on youtube and learned how to diagnose the issue. Started with the current coming into the machine and worked my way up to the control panel at the top of the door. Using a multimeter and hearing about issues others were having, made it clear that the problem was the main control board under the machine. Quadrouble-checked to make sure I purchased the correct replacement part. Installation was easy. Saved a few hundred dollars. 

Changed the door lock mechanism and the control. Found all the information and parts I needed on your website. The video was quite useful. The drawings made finding the parts easy. Your site was easy to use and found all the info and parts in one place with the instructions on how to. Will be back if need be. Thanks. 

We followed the video and replaced the Control Board. 

Tried the hard reset first, did not work Ordered and replaced the Door Latch component - did not work Ordered and replaced the Electronic Control Board - that worked! 

Went to start the dishwasher and it sounded three beeps and did not start. This is usually caused by a defective door switch or a bad main control board. The onboard diagnostics flashed the LED's indicating a bad door switch. I wasn't convinced and ordered the control board. The board fixed my issue and the dishwasher is working fine again. 

Ordered the GE electronic control board. Followed the video step by step. Started right up
