Our dishwasher wouldn’t start

We put in a new control board. We used a video of the repair and followed along. Of course the man on the video made it look a lot easier than it was but we were able to power through and were thrilled to be able to fix it on our own!

My GE dishwasher had no power

I ordered the service panel (computer board) and installed it. My problem was fixed after the installation. Part shipped on time and worked great!

Bad computer module

Ordered the part and then reset the washer and got it out of demo mode.

GE door light was blinking

I checked other reviews and fixes, realized it was the board. Took about 10 days to get the board but it fixed the problem and was pretty easy to remove and install.

Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher GDF570SSJ0SS

Would not start after pushing the start button. Door read as opened start button flashed continuously and would not operate.

After checking the door switch for continuity and the mainboard for 110V. Realized that the mainboard blinked 3 times. Turned off power at the circuit breaker. Changed mainboard and dishwasher worked.

Control board died.

The board was backordered for several months probably due to GE supply chain from China. We purchased a used dishwasher and installed that in the interim and put the "good" dishwasher in the garage. When the board finally arrived, swapped it out per the video, and attached an extension cord to the dishwasher in the garage to confirm the LED came on and the new board was working. Then pulled the temporary dishwasher, and reinstalled the repaired one.
