How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3702594 / WH16X10057 Suspension Rod And Spring Assembly

I shopped around a bit - found one retailer that only had 1 shock in stock, another that only stocked the front shocks, etc. There is definitely a difference in the springs between the green colored and white colored shocks! I've torn this washer down before, so I'm fairly familiar with how it's put together. I've seen some of the You-tube videos on replacing this item, and some of the videos show far more disassembly than is required. I only removed the front, top, and controls, and completed the entire job in less than 20 minutes. It was less than two days from the time the problem became evident until I had it repaired. 

Replaced rod & spring assemblies and dampening straps 

Watched the video provided on the website, after watching it done repair was a breeze. 

Got them quickly from Appliance Parts Pro...and got the problem solves. 

Replaced straps and suspension rod assembly, and now it works great. Thank you. 

Put in new suspension rods front and back. it took 20 mins and all i needed was a putty knife and a broom handle and a nut driver. your video was very helpful. 

I replaced the two front spring assemblies as they appeared weak. Now works great thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com. 

I made a call to Appliance Parts Pros. Technician Tracy helped me out to verify that what I was ordering was correct. Placed my order for front and back suspension rods. They shipped on a Monday and I got them Wednesday. Had it fixed that night. Little tougher since I was unable to pull my washing machine out but got it taken care of and working like a charm. I would rate like a 3 on the difficulty scale as I was unable to pull my washing machine out to get to the back of it. 

Called a handy man 

Replaced drum dog bones and all four drum rod supports at same time. Best money spent on this gen year old GE. Mine had two broken rubber dog bones. Taking the rods out makes the rear ones easier.
