How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3884118 / WH05X10009 Suspension Spring

I first thought it was the bearing until I took the machine apart and found other issues luckily it was only two shocks and a spring causing the machine to go off balance and make all that noise. One tool I should of had would be hose clamp plyers, regular plyers worked just not as well. 

Watched the video how to. 

I ordered the replacement part which came on the exact day I was told it would come. I replaced the part and the washer is back in business. 

Prybar and a block as fulcrum. 

Replaced all four shock absorbers and replaced the suspension spring and outer door spring. 

Replaced the broken spring 

I followed the instructional video regarding how to remove the door boot gasket. Once I had the machine apart, I was able to notice that the suspension spring was busted. It is very possible that if you are able to determine the suspension spring is busted, you could most probably replace without taking the machine apart - except for the top cover. I must warn you that the washing machine drum is heavy and will require some assistance to pick it up high enough to get a new spring on it. 

Replaced spring real easy fix need 2 people though 1 to lift drum the other to secure the spring. 

Took off the top. Mouth the new spring on. Put it back together.
