Joseph L Rochester , MN June 28, 2015 Appliance: Model GTWP1800DOWW The stem on the load level pressure switch broke off I ordered the part from appliance parts PROS.com and received it in two days. very good. I removed the front switch panel of my GE washer and removed the old switch and installed the new one. in doing this I broke a small plastic holder on the panel, this was not the new part's problem, it was the manufacturer of the machine, very poor design. however I was able to secure the switch in place and the washer works fine. Roger R Venice , FL March 07, 2017 Water level knob shaft broke off Took part you sent and watched 3 different youtubes on installation. All were near but not exact. On my washer there were three square head screws on the back of the top panel. Took them off (after I unplugged it) tilted it out slightly and moved it sideways a quarter of an inch. The front panel dropped down. I unplugged the sensor and pried out the retainer clip and it popped off. Put the new one on, plugged in the wire and the water sensor pipe. Then bent the clip slightly as it was loose. Slid the top panel back into place and attached with the three screws. Plugged it in and DONE. Took me longer to find my square head screw driver then to actually do it! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers
Steven P Lincoln , NE January 16, 2017 Washer overfilling I bought a pressure switch from APPRO, I replaced it but it didn't fix the problem, it turned out to be the plastic box on the tub, all I had to do was blow it out there was a blockage in there. I'm happy with APPRO because even though I didn't need it they got the part here super fast, and also I have a new pressure switch. Thanks, Steve. Read More... Vicky F Vallejo , CA August 11, 2016 I broke a knob on my washing machine which meant not only did i have to replace the knob but also the switch this was for the water level I bought the parts from Appliance PartsPros.com and got a much better deal than buying them from GE directly. I big difference too. I had my son do the repairs. He had to remove scews from the back of the washer to get inside where the switch went. I would say it took him less than an hour to fix it. Unfortunately I wasn't paying enough attention. Get your parts here!! I wish there were better instructions for fixing things. I might have been able to do this job myself. Read More...
