How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5805160 / WE01X20374 Timer Knob

Followed the video on how to replace the timer. 

Replaced timer with new one. 

Replaced the time and the timer knob 

Replaced the timer knob & timer (it had been erratic) itself. Very easy. Note-square drive screws. 

Ordered the replacement knobs from Appliance Parts Pros and the knobs were the exact match. The repair could not if been easier. Also I noticed the replacements were reinforced to resist cracking around the slot ring connections. Top quality! 

Well after I got mad like most men do, I took the control panel off to make sure it wasn't anything else and then I called Appliance Pros and ordered a new knob. It came in less then 4 days and was simple to put on. It has worked perfect ever since. Thanks, :-) 

Put in a new timer and knob 

I used the EXCELLENT Pros.com website to find the correct part easily, verified using the picture and the compatibility button to make certain it was the right part, and ordered it on line. It was here the next day, and I simply pushed the knob onto the silver thingy sticking out of the machine and voila! everything worked perfectly. Thank you AP Pro!!! 

Googled the part, ordered it installed it 

I ordered the timer and knob and received them within 24 hours. The price was also about $30 less than the parts on GE's website, even though they are genuine GE parts. My son installed the part very quickly and it works very well. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to do their own appliance repairs.
