How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5805160 / WE01X20374 Timer Knob

Washing cloths is and serious event, very needed and necessary... So when we could not dry the cloths because the timer and dial had gone bad we used the trusty pliers. Before things got worst it was time to replace timer and the dial. Because pliers and plastic don't work. pretty kool fix, wait for the part to get to you use the wiring in the same way that's presented twist lock replacement part. 

Got a replacement knob.

We fixed it by ordering a new one through your website. Got it in 2 days and this one has a metal ring around the D collar to reinforce it. Put it on and wow, it even felt totally different when I turned it. Smooth and sharp control now. Thanks !!!!! 

The repair person gave me the part # and website and suggested that I order the replacement knob myself online and have it delivered to me directly. I did as he suggested. Remove sheet metal screws from back panel. Remove timer assembly. Pulled off wires from terminals one by one and replace them on New part. Put everything back. Easy fix

Took off the old one and put the new one on. 

Ordered timer and replacemt knob. Watched youtube video on how to replace dryer timer. The project went very well. Didn't take long. Very successful!
