How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP6032647 / WE14X25080 Lint Chute Assembly

First... Get a screwdriver and a vacuum cleaner. If you have teenagers, also a piggy bank. Pulled off the front of the dryer and sucked out all the lint that had slid past the vent. Slurped up about four dollars worth of change, lint, and guitar picks (Son plays guitar.) with the vacuum. May have demolished a small fuzzy civilization. Busted the diggers out of the old trap duct assembly trying to get it out. Doesn't matter. Washed down the front of the dryer and vacuumed out the rest of the case. Changed the belt while I was in there. Clicked the assembly into place... Yup, click. Just click. Added on a front bearing and a set of glides with another little set of clicks. The majority of the time was spent vacuuming and washing the lint up so I could see what I was doing. Works like a new dryer. Amazing. 

The repair video was completely accurate and it was very easy to repair. I’m glad I bought the bearing slides too because they were completely worn out. The parts fit perfectly. 

After viewing the dryer parts diagram, it was determined that the trap duct assembly was broken. I ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com and watched the installation video. Problem solved and the dryer works fantastic. 

Replaced front and rear drum bearings 

Had heard about appliance parts pro some time ago. Brought the site up and, with the model number, all became clear. Found diagrams, videos, and all the parts I would ever need. They were priced less than local store, both options had to be ordered. Parts arrived on time and in a matter of minutes it was all fixed. 

Thanks to the excellent videos at ApplianceParrtsPros, it was an easy fix. While I had the trap duct assembly out, I noticed the drum front support bearing https://www.appliancepartspros.com/ge-dryer-drum-front-we3m26-ap3790641.html was worn through. While I was in there, I complicated the repair by removing the drum (more than was needed to replace the trap duct assy and front support bearing) to replace the belt and rear bearing. I probably should have replaced the idler / belt tensioner pulley as well, but it seemed OK.

Exactly like your video, I had the bottom and top guides in place in no time at all. Got new parts and fixed my self. 

After many attempts at bandaging the problem I decided just to order the needed replacement parts. Since I had disassembled this machine many times before, that was not a problem. I had a little trouble getting the self-tapping screws to 'self-tap' on the rear drum bearing so that took a little longer than expected to replace and reassemble. An hour after starting the project I was drying laundry again. I love the exploded parts diagrams! It makes ordering so easy and I felt sure that I was getting exactly the parts I needed.
