How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2038860 / WD8X228 Dishwasher Tub Corner Baffle (Left)

Replaced left and right tub corner baffles. 

Replaced door gasket and baffles. Working great now easy fix. 

Ordered 2 tub corner baffles (L-R), and 1 door gasket from Appliance Parts Pros. (Surprised they had them!!) Started repair at 2:00 P.M., and done at 2:30 P.M.. Hardest part was rounding the corners on the bottom of the door and finding the slot for the gasket.Perseverance pays!! 1 fix, 3 parts, NO LEAKS!!! Wife is a happy camper! Thanks, Ron 

Began by looking for parts on the internet. With in minutes I found and opened the appliancepartspros.com website. I entered my diswasher's brand name and model number and was pleasantly surprised that the parts needed were all available. Totally unexpected were the "how to" Utube videos showing how to remove the old parts and install the new ones. Watched the video's and ordered the necessary parts confident that I could install them. The parts arrived much sooner than I anticipated (must have been shipped that same day they were ordered)? As instructed, I turned off the water supply, and unplugged from the electrical supply, and began the intallation per the videos. In less that forty five minutes had completed the installion! 

Replaced the right and left tub corner baffles, and also replaced the door gasket and gasket insert. 

I saw the old parts had worn down, no longer able to channel water. I went on-line for reference for replacement part. 

New gaskets. Easy order from parts diagram. Watch video on You Tube. Remove old, install new. Job done and no more leaks. 

Replaced corner baffles, gasket insert and door gasket. 

Put new seals in. 

Reviewed the instructions provided by your web site, then ordered all the door gasket components. They arrived in two days. I removed the old components, and installed the new ones. Leak has stopped, and all is well. Had plenty of folks say just get a new dishwasher. This would have been more expensive, and I avoided the hassle of the installation. No need to fill a landfill with a perfectly good dishwasher. Can't complain about this expenditure after 20 years of service. You have a fantastic web site and tutorials.
