How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3190731 / WB44T10043 Unit Broil Asm (Dlx)

Ordered elements from Appliance Parts Pros. Fixed problem. 

Watched a video from their website on how to. Ordered a part from them and when I received it, it took about 15 minutes to install. Easy and saved me probably a couple hundred dollars. 

Bought another one from appliancepartspros and install it. 

Replaced broiler asm and lamp 

I followed your instructions step by step and worked very well. The video explains everything clearly, and saved me hundreds of dollars. I definitely recommend to try DIY. By the way, we are 2 women who did the replacement. 

Replaced with new ones. 

I took a different approach since I had two identical ovens. We have been overusing the top oven and not using the bottom at all so when the top started performing poorly it certainly was not a 911, just shifted to the bottom unit. Now as it gets closer to Christmas we have a "Pizza baking" contest for the kids so I wanted to get a head start and fix the top unit so I ordered ALL the working parts so I knew I had to get the right part and since the oven was 10 years old I had to hit on the defective part. Besides that, I could keep the old parts and maybe someday replace a part on the other one. Anyway, it went perfect. Thanks to YouTube, the video used by the company was not useful in my case. Finally arrived in exactly 2 days and the next day installed with any issues. Wife thinks I am talented, just You Tube not me. 

Installation took about one hour. The element was a perfect fit and works great, as avertised! 

Replaced bake and broil heating elements. Work was technically simple, unplug element and plug new in. Bake element went fairly quickly but reaching the top element was "difficult" with the oven door in place. Finally removed the oven door and completed replacement. The problem started when tried to put *&%#%^ door back on. Took hours of trying plus YouTube viewing time to finally locate the precise spot which will allow door hinges to fit. Then just fell into place. Really quite simple if you have the patience.
