Pat K. February 08, 2017 for Model Number JTP56W0A3WW My broil stopped working in either high or low mode. Can you tell me what is the approximate resistance of this broil element? I have removed it but my ohmmeter is suspect and I don't know what it should measure if the element is good. Also, if it has shorted out will it damage other parts of my control panel? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Pat, As per the tech sheet, the broil element resistance should be from 2 to 13 ohms for the upper oven broil element and 10 to 13 ohms for the lower oven broil element. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Steve, If you turn off the unit, and power continues to come to the element, you will need to order and replace the control WB27T10297 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
