How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4436507 / 4430JJ2004B Door Latch Cam

I went online and found a video on You Tube from Appliance Parts Pros. The video described the exact problem I was having with my fridge door. I ordered the part from the video link and watched it again when the part arrived in the mail. The door now works perfectly and the video probably saved me hundreds because I didn't need to call a repairman. 

I removed a cover attached by clips and pulled the seal away to access the screw. 

Following the YouTube video posted by your site, I Removed the cover, popped out the retainer, removed one screw and replaced the defective part. However, I did this twice, replacing the one on each door and each time you have to insert a flat head screw driver into a slot on a plastic retaining clip and pry. Each time the plastic piece broke making it almost impossible to remove the clip. That should be addressed on the video. 

I ordered the gaskets, watched the video. Ordering was easy and the repair was very easy. Shipping was quick as well. 

Replaced cam lever. 

Replaced with part 4620JJ2009A, Stopper, Door. Unscrewed broken piece (it is a plastic hinge). Opened bottom ice drawer to expose proper alignment with closed refrigerator door. Screwed new piece in, it is identical and fits perfectly. Took 5 minutes or less. The engineering of the door holder is not great to begin with, but this is the correct part for this french door, bottom ice drawer refrigerator.

Purcashed new from Appliance Parts Pro and the Video on how to repair was SUPER 

I ordered a new "cam lock" - then watched the instructional video. It took no more than 5 minutes to remove the broken part and install a new replacement. Now, the door works like new - and I probably saved hundreds of dollars by buying a 3 dollar piece and not calling for a home repair.
