The Door Latch Cam is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. This component is integral to the proper functioning of the refrigerator door latch system, ensuring the door stays securely closed.

Over time, the door latch cam can become worn out or damaged due to frequent use, exposure to moisture, or accidental impact. When the cam is compromised, it can affect the door's ability to seal properly, which can lead to energy inefficiency and potential spoilage of food.

Symptoms of a bad door latch cam include:

  • Difficulty in closing or opening the refrigerator door
  • The door not sealing tightly, leading to temperature fluctuations
  • Increased energy consumption
  • Unusual noises when operating the door latch

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

Questions & Answers

For Lg Door Latch Cam (Part Number: OEM13309530)

Jimmy, The manufacturer only shows the door gasket as being the way to get the cam and the gasket holder. To get to this there is a cover on the interior corner that you would pop loose and then use a flat blade screwdriver to pop the holder out.

Michael, In most cases with the door popping open, look for the left door to be unleveled or the cam at the bottom of the door being worn out.

Tom for Model Number LFX25960SW

Thank you for your quick response. Here is the same question asked a different way: The cam I'm talking about holds the doors shut at the front center of the fridge (NOT THE DOOR HINGE). This is where both doors come together. Each door has a cam to keep it closed. Well, the right door cam is inoperable because the piece that the cam "is screwed to" (inside the door) is broken off. This means the cam broke off altogether as it fell to the floor. I'm wondering how or IF I will be able to fix it. Please advise. I don't know what the broken part would be called. Thanks so much for your time again. It is most appreciated.

Tom, If you're discussing the right door hinge and cam assembly here are the instructions you'll need " Right Door 1. Open door. Loosen top hinge cover screw . Lift up cover . 2. Disconnect door switch wire harness . Remove cover. 3. Disconnect wire harness . Remove the grounding screw. Rotate hinge lever clockwise and remove. Lift top hinge free of hinge lever latch. CAUTION: When lifting hinge free of latch, be careful that door does not fall forward. 5. Lift door up from middle hinge pin and remove door. 6. Place door, inside facing up, down onto a non-scratching surface." here are the part numbers for the hinge AEH74216502 hinge lever 4510JA3004A, Good Luck
