How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4438395 / 5007JA3006R Refrigerator Ice Chute Door

The code error was an issue with cooling fan that helps make Ice in my unit. I ordered a new one from appliancepartspros and replaced within 15 minutes. Ice maker working great.

I was searching for the part when I came upon the appliance parts pros web site. Not only did they have the part but a video show how to install it. After watching the video I was certain I could make the repair myself and save a couple of hundred dollars. The one over the phone quote to repair it was a $169.00 diagnostic fee plus parts and labor. They couldn’t estimate the part and labor cost until they came out and looked at the refrigerator. Appliance parts pros saved the day. I played the video as I made the repair to make sure I didn’t miss anything. 

Ordered new door and solenoid, replaced parts 

We followed the instructional video on AppliancePartsPros.com. The video was excellent and easy to follow. For any future appliance repairs, we will likely refer to this site first. As it is an excellent way to save money on appliance repairs. The part arrived promptly when ordered. 

First I watched a YouTube video on how to do the repair and it seemed like something I could tackle. I ordered the part and it when it arrived I replaced the door and voila my refrigerator was 100%! 

I could not have done this without your repair video. The ice funnel broke first and I replaced it. Then the ice door would stick open. I ordered a new door. With the video it became a 5 minute repair. My electric connections were slightly different otherwise exactly the same. Three Phillips screws and a flat screwdriver to initially take off the exterior trim. While the cover was off we gave the dispenser a good cleaning! Too easy. THANK YOU.

Watched the repair videos. Ordered the parts. Installed when parts arrived. Took about 30 minutes.
