How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5071745 / MCK49049101 Lint Screen Housing

Replacement parts order corrected the issue. Lint filter,cover and filter guide 

Myself. 4 screws 

Just unscrew the broken one and removed and place the new one in then screw it in. Thats all it took! Easy! 

Replaced lint filter and cover. This project was a quick and easy fix. Be careful not to pinch the wire going to the sensor when screwing in the filter cover. 

Change the filter cover 

First I removed the broken parts to identify what needed to be replaced. Next, I searched the Internet for a supplier that would mail me the correct parts. I found appliance parts pros.com and was able to find the exact parts. They arrived the next day and I was able to install them with very little trouble. 

R and R old parts with new parts ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com. the parts ordering was simple with model # look up and pictures, the cross referencing of parts commonly ordered together was great. Their prices were the best. 

I removed the filter. Then I removed the 4 screws holding the filter cover. I replaced the cover, took about an hour to line up screws and screw them in. the filter slid right in. Everything fit perfect! The filter and cover broke because lint builds up in the bottom of the cover. I've tried vacuuming and using a brush, but couldn't get all the lint out. The filter stuck up and clothes got caught and snapped off part of the filter and the cover. The only way to clean was to remove the cover. 

Replaced lint filter screen, guide, and cover ??. Parts arrived within 2 days by paying extra ??for faster shipping. ????????. 

I removed the original parts and replaced them with the new ones I ordered.
