Well, we knew enough to check the hose. So we took it out and yep that was the problem. We have a manual and a parts list so we were able to order one. Easy enough. My grandson was up to the task. He watched the video. The part arrived. He got everything set but the part was not the same as the one on the machine. There was an extra tube. Where does it go? How to get it to stay? He watched the video again and figured it out. However, with the side off, I could see that there was some of container that was really mucked up in there and I figured it would make sense to replace that before it died from asphyxiation. But I had no idea what it was. So I called tech support and the tech and I sleuth-ed it out. She had me take a picture and send it to her and she knew exactly what it was. We talked about some interim options to flush it, they had something in stock. She sent the new part, sent the cleaner, and we will put that all in after it arrives. But everything is working now. BTW, the LG tech who came out, charged me $120 to tell me the machine was too old and we couldn't get parts, was wrong on three counts. We have motor, fixed the door springs, and now the hose. Saved me $1000 and taught me that with a courageous young adult and AppliancePartsPros, miracles can happen.
