How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4442249 / 4975JA2028A Drawer Slide Rail

Removed and replaced the rails. 

Fridge was leaking water underneath and the drain line was clear. It ended up being this part that needed replacing. The video on this site was perfect, fridge is now working great! 

Replaced drawer slide rail. Watched video and was able to fix the issue in 5 minutes. 

Bought a replacement. 

I have had a snack drawer dropping off the rails for over a year thinking that it was the drawer. My refrigerator is over 10 years old and LG the manufacturer doesn’t do a lot of parts for this model anymore. One morning, tired of the drawer dropping all the time off the track, decided to call appliance parts pros and asked them if they thought it was the drawer itself or the railings? the representative told me that most likely was the railings. I bought them, followed the video and I am a very happy customer to have a functional snack drawer again. It was such an easy modification and I had to suffer it over a year. 

Installed replacement light switch and drawer rails.

Replaced rails. 

Looked up the parts on Appliance Parts Pros, watched the video that they provided, VERY helpful. I ordered the parts, they arrived in a week and followed the video and changed them out. The drawer works perfectly now. 

These rails (one on each side) were replaced by simply snapping them in and locking them into place. It was so easy after removing the shelf and then replacing the shelf back into the refrigerator. It literally took 3 minutes to complete!
