How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4442249 / 4975JA2028A Drawer Slide Rail

Popped out the broken guide rails and snapped in new guide rails then slid in new snack tray. Removed old filter and replaced with new. No tools or service repairman was required. So happy to have found a company that carries the parts I needed at a very reasonable price, an easy to use website and super fast delivery. Easily. Slipped old one out, slipped new one in. 

Fridge is 14 years old. Guides have been broken for at least a couple years and I had repaired them several times. Finally got to the point where I could not glue them back together again. Bought two new guides and installed them. Very easy to do, no tools required. Removed the shelf from the fridge, pushed in the retaining clips and slid the the old guides out. Slid new guides in, reinstalled shelf in fridge and put the drawer back in. Good as new. Ten minute repair (including cleaning the shelf while removed). 

Replaced ice maker and snack pan guide rails. 

Ordered new parts, got them in two days, and installed. 

I ordered the replacement tracks. They arrived very quick and were very easy to install. I installed them and the drawer works perfectly. No tool needed 

Easy! I just slipped the new rail in and it was fixed! 

I went to the AppliancePartsPros.com site, keyed in the model number and viewed the schematic to figure out the exact part that I needed. Ordered it and it arrived in a few days. The part was exactly what I needed and it was a piece of cake to remove and replace the broken guide. 

Luckily APP had the rails instock online. And a helpful video to show the repair. Seemed easy enough, so I ordered two rails since it made sense to repplace both instaed of just the one. In case the age of the plastic contributed to why it failed. Overstuffing the drawer with heavy items (blocks of cheese) wasn't a good idea. Anyway, all I needed was the parts, the video insturctions and a small flat screwdriver. I was done in less than 5 minutes. Easiest fix ever. 

New set of slide rails took care of the problem!
