How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4440975 / 6931EL3003D Dryer Hi-Limit Thermal Fuse

Replaced the high limit thermostat /fuse. 

Watched videos. Then just did it. Ordered and replaced the Heater Assembly the High-Limit and the Thermistor. 

After ordering all of the likely replacement parts, I determined that the Thermistor was broken. However, the old element that I had replaced a few months ago using a part from a competitor did not have the proper tabs for connecting, so I had done a kludge connection that was not holding up. So even though I had determined that the element itself was functional, I swapped in the new element (purchased through a different order from here) and did not need these parts. So I am deciding whether to keep them as a hedge against future problems, or return them. 

Following the video hosted on AppliancePartPros.com site, I was able to understand how to disassemble the dryer to reach the part to be replaced. Initially i replaced the Dryer Thermistor which did not fix the problem. In researching further, realized that there were 2 other heating components that could be potential problem parts that need to be replaced. Ordered the High Limit Thermostat and Blower Thermostat and replaced both these components. Now the dryer is producing the heat and the clothes are drying effectively and in a short time period. 

After reading the feedback I decided to order all the parts that were the probable cause. I was delighted to see a video of the disassembly and replacement of the parts. After ordering the parts I disassembled the dryer in about 45 minutes. There were slight differences in my model but the parts were still in the same places. I found that pennies and dimes can fall out of the drum and into the bottom of the dryer. Almost two dollars worth. I did vacuum everything and wipe as much lint out as I could get. The parts came 3 days later. Installation was easy and reassembly was easy. Just follow the videos. Took about 45 minutes to install all parts and reassemble the dryer. I did test all the old parts with an ohm meter and found the high-limit thermostat was the only one that tested bad. Overall, the parts are a reasonable price and the videos are priceless. Thanks for a great experience. 

Replaced the heating element and the thermistor 

Searched the AppliancePartsPros.com website and watched repair videos. Looked at the percentages of what parts could be the culprit. $100 towards a fix was worth the gamble to me which wasn't much of a gamble when adding the percentages together. I took the dryer apart to change the high-limit thermostat and the thermostat assembly. I did not want to do all that work for nothing. You will need to take the drum out of the dryer. I decided to change both for the best. 

Per your video and I purchased a High Limit Switch which fixed my problem. 

Purchased a new thermostat from AppliancePartsPros.com. Watched your video on taking the dryer apart. Replacing the part and putting the dryer back together.
