My ice maker in the LG refrigerator stopped making ice a few months ago. The tray would fill with water, and ice would freeze, but the cubes would not dump into the storage container. I ordered the whole assembly from AppliancePartsPros.com and it arrived a few days later. Replacing the ice maker assembly fixed the problem. The repair was fast and easy: two screws and two plastic clips held the assembly in place along with an electrical connector. Removed the old assembly, installed the new one, and had ice again after a few hours. I suspect the small heater below the ice cube tray was what caused the problem since the motor still worked but the heater was not available as an individual part.
