I researched online, looked at videos, and call AppliancePartsPros.com. I explained what was happening ( water still working on the indoor dispenser - so no clogged/frozen water line, if I added ice cubes into the ice bin, the maker would allow cubes to drop and or crush so this mechanism was working so the process of elimination, we determined that the ice-making unit needed replacement. I ordered the part and asked the rep at the time if they had any video showing how to replace this. I got a link within 24 hours of an almost exact unit being installed by one of their own video DIY's. Part came in, I turned off the breaker to my refrigerator, I followed the video step by step and I now have ice...I want to say the cost-saving to me was over $250 (what local appliance repair folks wanted for their diagnosis of the problem and their work, NOT including the part. I am 72 years old, a female and it took me 30 minutes...if I can do this, so can you!!!! I should also mention that I called several services...they told me they could not get LG parts...that was not so, Most of the local repairs wanted a service call to diagnose that would have been anywhere between $50-$75. Repair quotes were $250 -$348 (area Atlanta, 2/15/2022
