How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5959515 / AEQ73130002 Ice Maker Assembly

Went to get some ice one night and nothing came out. So I’m a little handy I looked at the top of the icemaker and found frozen cubes just sitting there. So I hit the reset button and nothing happened. My fridge is 6 years old so I decided to replace the ice maker It took me about 15 min. After installing about 30 min it started to make ice. 

I purchased a new part from AppliancePartsPtos.com. The best part was the video to demonstrate how to perform this. It saved me a lot of time and I didn't have to figure out how everything was assembled. The video put me on the right path! That was awesome

I ordered a replacement ice maker, the first one that came in was broken. I used the live chat and was able to speak to someone and she was quick to get another one sent out. I called a friend. I could not do it myself. There were no instructions. My friend (an engineer) figured it out. He had the tools and brains. Once installed, the Ice maker assembly worked fine. I'm satisfied with the part provided.
