I had to completely disassemble the old and new replacement ice maker. So I could swap the part that funnels the water to the tray. That piece was different and the ice maker would not fit up in its spot without swapping it. I also had to reuse the wiring sub harness because the new part had the wrong plug. Read More... It took my husband about 15 minutes and that included him emptying the baskets from the freezer and putting them back in. We were a bit worried as the ice maker was not filling up with water right after we installed it. Turns out the ice maker has to actually get down to freezer temperature before it will call for water. I ordered from APP (they have a GREAT search function and an even better diagrams and videos!) and it was delivered it just a few days. I was able to install the new ice maker in less than 5 mins!
