How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP6307959 / AGU75188619 Refrigerator Flipper Assembly

I ordered this spring to go with the mullion i ordered but it turns out the spring was already included so I will probably return the item. 

This was actually a very easy fix. I was able to pop out the old one and put the new one in in about 10 min. There were 2 screws to remove and the wiring connection. I did have a little trouble disconnecting the wiring connection but the new one went on just fine. We lived with the broken door mullion for much longer than we should have! 

Ordered new mullion. 

Removed 2 Phillips head screws, pulled the door flapper away from the door and disconnected the simple wiring harness. Then hooked up the new door flapper that came ready to go and closed the refrigerator. Easy-peasy. 5-10 minutes. Tools required: Phillips screwdriver and a small flat head to trip the lock on the wiring harness and an appreciative spouse. 

The door mullion is that piece attached to the right side door of the LG Refrigerator which seals the gap between the doors when they are shut. The plastic molding around one of the springs had broken. Although no installation instructions came with the piece, installation was intuitive and easy. It took 5 minutes to remove the broken piece and install the new one. 

Replaced with a new one.
