How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP6800730 / AGZ72909711 Pulsator Assembly

Watched a YouTube video, purchased the parts and it took about 5 mins. Awesome! Saved me $500 

Bought a new Pulsator assembly, Pulsator nut, and cap 

Popped off the cheap pulsator cap, I took the pulsator off and noticed the splines were all gone from wear and tear. Couldn’t find the part I needed anywhere except here, ordered it on a Friday and got it the very next day with standard shipping! Customer service was excellent when I called in. New bolt came with the pulsator assembly, installed and fixed it in less then 2 minutes 

This was quite simple. The broken agitator plate stripped its splines and disconnected from the motor. I just lifted the plate out of the tub. Appliance Pros had the plate in stock and shipped it right away. Arrived in 2 days. I dropped the plate into the tub, set it on the motor splines, tightened the one bolt and voila it was done. 

Simple replacement of the plate, I replaced the pulsator cap as well since I broke the old one by not prying it up evenly from all sides. I didn’t need the screw however since one is suppplied with the assembly. Easy. Peasy. Saved a couple hundred maybe over a repairman, they also like to charge a higher price for parts. 

Noticed that the pulsator in the bottom of the drum was loose. Popped off the cap and the bolt was loose. I removed the old pulsator and found that the the splines in the center were worn completely off. When the new pulsator arrived it took less than ten minutes to unpack the replacement install it and tighten the 10mm bolt with a socket. Pop on the cheap plastic cap and you are done. 

Order new wash plate and installed in 5 minutes, very easy to install. 

Rubber pulsator gear wore out screwdriver to remove the old socket to installed a new one easy. 

Replaced the agitator assembly.
