How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5215672 / 4413ER1003B Rotor Assembly

I initially just ordered the rotor there was no boubt the splines that connect the rotor to the shaft were stripped. My was stripped so bad that it wobbled, hit and broke a field coil winding. I ended up ordering a stator as well. All products were excellent. was very pleased that the new stator came with a new HAL sensor. My washer has never run as good as it does now. It is recommended to use blue locktite for the bolt that goes through the rotor. 

2009 LG WM2350HR From the resources online it appeared to be a position sensors that had gone out. But the was not error code on display. After ordering sensor late friday night decided to disassembly unit to make speedy work of repair once part arrived. Upon disassembly not lots of debris at main drive shaft. Pulled rotor...spines sheared off. Cancelled sensor order and replaced with rotor order. Part arrived on Wednesday. Washer working again. Easy to cancel old order, prompt delivery and right part. Very pleased. It there are no error signals on display Think mechanical failure first! I noted shocks are spent so need to do that down the road as well. Also check your water inlet filters while your there...mine where 90% clogged on hot side 

I replaced the rotor wirh the plastic splines with the new design with metal splines. INCREDIBLY EASY!!!!!!
