Patrick M Clermont , FL December 15, 2018 Appliance: LG Dryer DLE2050W Taking too long to dry Looked up recommended parts to solve taking too long to dry. First part had 80% chance to fix it. A few other parts were also list and the total for all was less than $50, so I got them too. And watched the videos, which were very good, take it apart, change the part and reassemble it. It took a little longer since I vacuumed all the dust I could see. LG Electric Dryer 2050W Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Screwdrivers
Fried D Vero Beach , FL November 08, 2018 Appliance: Model LG DRYER Unit did not heat I went out on a limb and ordered a thermostat assembly, thermistor assembly, and the moisture sensor bar, thinking all 3 would cover a potential problem. After disassembling the dryer and installing the parts, I concluded the problem was a burned out heating element. I ordered it and 3 days later my unit was up and running again. It took me longer to clean the unit than to take it apart and reassemble it. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Screwdrivers
Thomas J Fort Wayne , IN September 23, 2018 Appliance: Model DLG2526W (ABWEEUS) Dryer would operate and turn but there was no heat Like another fellow who had the same issue, I replaced all the thermostats, the thermistor, and the moisture sensor bars because they were such inexpensive parts. After installing all the parts, the dryer did not run and I did get what turned out to be a false error code, claiming a bad thermistor. That didn't make sense so I took the dryer apart again and checked the new thermistor with a multi-testor. It was good. So I called APP and spoke to a pro about it and he was interested and helpful. I tried the manufacturer error code fix to no avail. The pro told me that given the parts I had already installed, they should have resolved the issue of little or no heat. The consensus was that it might be a bad board because of all those other parts I had replaced, yet I noticed no apparent problems with my board or burn marks. I told the pro given the quirkiness of electronics, I was going to put the dryer back together and see if it might just right itself. He agreed with that and I told him that if it still didn't work, I was going to order a new board. Low and behold, I put it back together and the dryer worked fine. Now for about $55 I have a dryer that runs like new. Thanks APP! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Greg P Atascocita , TX July 13, 2018 Appliance: Model LG DLE2514W LG dryer quit producing heat. I was unsure which part failed, so I ordered and replaced the Thermistor Assembly, Hi-Limit Thermostat, and Thermostat Assembly. It took me 10 minutes to completely disassemble the dryer, 5 minutes to clean all the lint out of the dryer frame, 5 minutes to remove and replace the parts, and 15 minutes to reassemble. The most difficult part of the repair is getting the drum belt back on the idler pulley during reassembly (put belt on before placing front drum bracket). Total cost was $53, including new light bulb and moisture sensor bar on lint screen. Heating like new. (Depending on the age of the dryer, consider replacing the four Drum Support Rollers for a quiet roll while you're in there). Read More... Jeff B Wyoming , MI May 14, 2018 Appliance: Model DLG1788WM Dryer no heat I first called a different online company and I talked to the tech. He told me that it most likely is not the gas regulator so I changed the top 3 recommend parts to no avail. Then my mother-in-law passed away and clean clothes became a hugh issue. I called Appliance Pros around 7pm. The video that I watched recommend to change the gas regulator so I ordered it around 7pm, it arrived the next day at 9am and we started drying clothes by 10 am. I will not bother to call anyone else in the future. AppliancePartsPros.com is the only company that I need. Service was awesome. Thanks Jeff Read More...
