Gene C Thayer , KS September 19, 2019 Dryer not heating Ordered the parts recommended on the website. Watched the videos showing step by step instructions for repair. Took the dryer apart, replaced the necessary parts, put it all back together, and the dryer works great. Couldn’t have done it without AppliancePartsPros. Will definitely use them again for any appliance repairs. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Joel B Pittsburgh , PA July 16, 2019 Dryer ran but there was no heat Replaced thermistor, high limit thermostat, and thermostat. My dryer is in a very tight, hard to access location, which was part of the reason it took so much time. The videos were lifesavers. My dryer is a Kenmore with a steam attachment, but otherwise the same as the LG in the video. I just had to improvise a bit to get the steam assembly out of the way so I could remove the drum. Unfortunately all the parts I replaced required drum removal. All parts but one came in overnight as promised. The part in the bag labeled High Limit Thermostat was incorrect (it happens), but I called and the correct part was shipped to me overnight. Service was very prompt and courteous. I have used this company twice now and I recommend them. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Screwdrivers
Tonya S Grand Blanc , MI July 01, 2019 Appliance: LG Dryer DLG5988WM My dryer started to squeak and smell of burnt rubber I replaced all four drum support roller assemblies, and the belt. I also cleaned more lint than I realized could accumulate in a dryer!! After that, the dryer then turned but would not heat. I found that weird because it was not part of my original issue. I purchased the moisture sensor and it's holder as well as a new wire harness because I thought I may have damaged it in the assembly or my cleaning. I also purchased the thermistor assembly because there were forums that said this might also be the cause and it was cheap. I replaced those parts and there was still no heat. After re-reading in forums I saw that there was the chance that the safety thermostat was tripped. I located that part on the dryer and sure enough, it was tripped. I am guessing when the drum stopped turning due to the roller assemblies, it got hot and tripped the safety switch. It runs like a dream now!! Read More... Devan J Hurricane , UT April 21, 2019 Appliance: Amana Gas Dryer LG1009W No heat I ordered everything that I could replace and do the job one time. I was able to replace everything except the thermostat. The thermostat on my dryer is riveted on and couldn't replace it. However with everything I ordered one of the parts fixed whatever was wrong. It took me about 2 hours total and pretty simple job. I just went a little OCD and cleaned everything up and removed a lot of hair and lint for inside. Read More... Jay W Mount Prospect , IL January 16, 2019 Appliance: Model LG DLG2532W LG dryer not heating The high temp thermostat ended up being the problem, but I also replaced the other thermostat on the burner tube, thermostat on the fan housing and moisture sensor in the door. I also replaced the belt since I had it apart. The videos were very helpful. My control panel was in the rear and I needed to remove two clips on the back that were held in with two screws. In the front panel model in the video there were just 3 screws on the back and no clips. Thanks also for fast shipment during holidays. Read More...
