How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4445159 / 6322FR2046C Thermistor Assembly

Replaced the thermistor sensor which was located on the top side of the machine. The model number indicated that it was inside and next to the drum. 

Pulled front panel and changed the thermistor reinstalled panel working as it should no more error code 

Ordered a thermistor and heating element. Took the washer apart, my model had no heating element installed. The landmark for the thermistor, was the heating element, that slowed the process down. When I did locate the thermistor noticed a broken wire on the connector to the thermistor, right on the pin, no room to repair. I was not able to get the pin out, nor find a PN for the connector. Finaly hard wired the thermistor to the wire bundle. The final step was getting the door gasket hold down spring reinstalled. I did not have the special plyers. There are some nice Youtube video hacks involving a 5/8 combination wrench and zip ties. All ops check good. Would really like the connector part numbers, or at least a manufacture name. 

I fixed it by watching one of your video's. Then I ordered the part from your website. Great website. 

I removed the old parts and replaced it with the new 

Replaced the Thermistor Assembly. However it is not necessary to dissemble the top and front of the machine as your video details. This is a total waste of time. Unless you don't have room to lay the machine on its back or you want to make it look like this is complicated to justify the cost of a service call. Simply tilt the washer back to reveal the bottom. There is easy access to the Thermistor through the open bottom. I was able to replace the thermistor with one hand in less than one minute. 

Replaced the heating element in the bottom of the tub. Was fairly easy, there are many how to videos available. That did not solve the problem, the old element looked like new. Then looked for broken wires, ended up removing the entire wiring harness and checked them all for continuity with tester and they were all fine. Put all wiring harness back in and ran the Sanitary cycle with the top off the washer and saw that it was filling entirely with cold water. Then ran the self diagnostic program and got no error codes for a third time. Stumped! Then took apart the hot water inlet valve and found it to be a bit sticky inside. Cleaned it out and put it back together finally washer is filling with hot water and element started making it hotter as it should. Not positive but from what I guess is that when the hot water inlet valve won’t work then the washer just fills with cold water instead and it will not try to heat water that is below a certain temperature. Just guessing. Now will order a new hot inlet valve and should be fixed.

So I'm giving him all the credit for the work, both of us watched the installation video which was so helpful, made the job fun, step-by-step instruction, and a satisfying feeling when the job was completed. 

Watched your videos and figured out what the code was. Then used the video to dismantle and replace the part. 

Looked up the error code on the internet. It gave me the problem and a youtube video to fix it. The video gave me the website for appliance parts pros. I ordered the part received it very fast. Followed the video and fixed the washer in about an hour. No issues it was a great experience and the washer works great. Thank you!!
