Derek S Ellicott City , MD September 22, 2019 Appliance: Model WM2688HNM (ANBEEUS) Drum bearings were shot. My normally near silent washer could be heard all over the house Searched for my model, looked at the drawings and picked the parts from the list. Got both bearings and the water seal, plus the outer tub gasket, and a spider just in case. The water seal was the root cause. It began to leak and damaged the rear bearing. Disassembly was a breeze with the videos. Unfortunately, couldn't get the spider off the drum because 4 of the 6 bolts just spun. Attempted to get the baffles out of the inside of the drum without breaking them but failed. Decided to just order the entire drum assembly. We wasted way too much time attempting to salvage the drum. And it took a bit of time to get the spider spindle knocked through the bearing on disassembly because of so much rust. Otherwise, we could have completed the entire job in just about 2 hours. Reassembly was going great until it came to installing the front gasket retaining rings. If I had bothered to pay closer attention to the video, it wouldn't have been any problem. Watch and observe CAREFULLY! The videos are EXCELLENT and will not steer you wrong! !0 out of 10 will buy from AppliancePartsPros again! My brother-in-law gave me a hand with it and he's so impressed with the quality and videos of the parts, he decided to buy from these guys too. VERY happy with results. Read More... Phillip O Clinton , MD April 29, 2019 Appliance: Model WM2487HRMA (ACREEUS) Inner drum was making a banging noise during the spin cycle. After researching the issue on YouTube. I assumed that I had a bad bearing and found the disassembly videos on this website. I'm not the handiest person in the world but the video gave fairly clear instructions and I was able to get my machine completely taken apart in about 4 hours. Once I got the inner drum separated from the outer shell I found that my problem was NOT the bearings but the spider arm. Mine had corroded and cracked on 2 of the 3 arms. I tried to remove the spider arm from the stainless steel drum, but the bolts wouldn't come out. So I had to order the entire assembly. My door boot seal was dirty and moldy so I figured I'd replace it while the machine was apart. The parts arrived in 2 days and I followed the video to reassemble the machine. The only problem I ran into was installing the inner part of the door boot seal. It wasn't clear from the video what part of the seal was being tucked where so I did what I THOUGHT was right and had the seal come off when I tested the machine. This caused a minor flood but once I got the seal installed correctly the machine washes like new!! Read More... Stephen S Northampton , PA April 19, 2019 Appliance: Model LG WM2455HW Spider bracket on tub broken. I disassembled the entire washer thanks to the video that was provided without knowing what was broken. During the disassembly I discovered that the spider bracket on the tub was broken in 2 spots. The bolts were rusted inside tub, so I ordered a new tub assembly from the website which came with everything already attached to it. I used the video to reassemble the washer and it now runs like brand new. Thanks again! Read More... Charles M Highland Mills , NY March 24, 2019 Appliance: LG Washer WM2455HW Drum off center LG front loader washer drum was off center and off balance. Like others have mentioned, the spider bracket on the back of the drum was corroded and cracked. I originally ordered bearings and replacement spider bracket but when trying to get the spider bracket off, two bolts came out but the rest just spun. After researching others had mentioned that the bolts are held on by plastic nuts which you cannot access. You can't cut off the bolts since you have no way of re-attaching new bolts since you can't access the nuts. Cancelled the order for the spider bracket and bought a new drum. Replaced bearings, door boot and new drum. Works fine now. Thank you Appliance Pros for the new drum. Read More... Tiejun W Farmington , CT March 09, 2019 Appliance: Model WM2487HWMA (ABWEEUS) Washer made very loud noise and smoke when spinning at high speed I took part the washer following the video directions. Then found that 2 out of the 3 spider arms were broken. It was very rusty and nasty. First I tried to take the spider arm off the tub, but 3 out of the 6 screw rusted and could not be taken out. So I had to replace the inner tub assembly. Replacing the tub assembly and putting everything back together was all pretty easy until it got to the part of installing the door boot seal. The gasket clamp was quite difficult to put back into place without the expensive special spring expansion tool. I tried many different ways and finally used a pair of pointed pliers to pull the ring on the spring and put it on the other end. The clamp ring would stay in the groove by friction when I pull the spring end. After everything was put back together, the washer works great. Read More... Nathan R Salinas , CA January 31, 2019 Appliance: Model LG WM2688HWM Bearings wore out three times! After replacing the bearings two times, I decided to replace the "washer spinner support (LG4434ER0002D), called a spider, so that the seal could get a good tight seal. However, the spider could not be removed from the old inner drum. The bolts just stripped when I went to remove them. So, I ordered the entire Tub Assembly. This comes with the spider (spinner support) attached. Now, we are back up and washing like crazy! New tub, new seal, new bearings, new shaft that rides on the bearings! Yes it is an expensive part, but we are as good as new now. Suggestion, make sure you tighten the rotor well. It pulls the shaft into the seal. Also, getting the tub clamp on the door boot is quite a challenge. I lubed it up with Dawn detergent, and slipped it on with two flat screwdrivers, like putting a bike tire on a rim. Hold the clamp in with one screwdriver, and slide the other one around the perimeter. This job does take a few hours, but it is doable. Watch the video step by step. Read More... Danny K Southlake , TX September 06, 2018 Appliance: Model LG WM2487HRM Inner tub bearings and water seal failure I watched the video, then ordered the two bearings and inner and outer tub water seals. Disassembly when ok until it was time to tap the tub's shaft out of the old bearings. It did not go anything like the video with a few blows against the shaft with a hammer and a piece of wood. This shaft wouldn't budge with a sledge hammer! Unlike most DIY's, I have an aircraft rivet gun. With the air pressure cranked up to 130 lbs, I was able to jack-hammer the shaft out of the bearings! Removing the old bearings from the outer tub was almost as much fun, not easy like the video. Disassembly took more than the estimated two hours predicted for the entire job. I used the old bearings to tap in the new ones, therefore protecting the new bearings from any damage. I found my spider badly corroded. I tried to remove it from the tub but only one bolt on each spider arm would come out, so I ordered a new inter tub. Thankfully, the assembly went as advertised, and my LG machine runs like new. Now the high speed spin cycle is quiet, and no longer sounds like an approaching tornado! Read More...
