Brandon A Seattle , WA September 06, 2016 Bearings were stuck to the rear tub I replaced the rear tub. NOTE that LG says if you replace the rear tub, you must also replace the stator and rotor. This is not true! I used my old stator and rotor, and everything works just fine. Lydia F Willimantic , CT June 07, 2016 Appliance: Model LG WM0642HW Growling noise coming from the rear of the drum of my lg wm0642hw front load washing machine I followed the video that was posted on your website, very informative and easy to follow. Only problem was, was the drum and bearings refused to separate, even after a week of applying rust buster and using a 5 lb sledge hammer and 2x4 wood. Spoke with one of your exceedingly helpful assistants on the phone and he gave me the only other option was to replace the rear drum assembly and the inner drum. So easy!! It's back together and running! I now can revel in clean laundry! I only have to make sure about any loose wiring because it's got a slight thumping noise and slight wobble during the spin cycle... but at least, I have clean laundry!! Joe T Midlothian , VA October 08, 2017 Outer tub assembly replacement on my lg washer. This is not a small repair, as you need to almost disassemble the entire washer to complete the job. The accompanying video was spot on and walked through the disassemble and rebuild with no missing steps! I would recommend moving the washer to a space where you have room to work if you can (my laundry room is too small to move around in). My washer sounded like a freight train prior to the repair, and is now quiet as can can be. Price and support were great and the fix was far cheaper than buying a new washer. Peter D Yuma , AZ November 23, 2016 Appliance: LG Washer WM2277HW Bad bearings in an lg tromm wm2277hw Ordered and received bearings and seal. online tutorial was excellent. I had the popular problem of removing the inner tub from the outer. the guy in the tut gave the wood block about two taps and the tub fell out. Ha! no chance. I soaked the bearing with Kroil and beat on it with a 32 oz framing hammer. I finally figured out that if I rethreaded the bolt and TAPPED CAREFULLY, direcly on that, (with no block to cushion the blow) it acted like an impact hammer and the shaft come right out. Unfortunately, by then I had cracked the plastic tub. Anyway, ordered and rec'd a new tub assmbly, with bearings and seal installed, and the machine went back together in about 30 minutes. A.P.P. was very helpful, knowledgable and the shipping was incredible (like one day) Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Adjustable Wrench, Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set, Wrench Set

Kristen P Spencer , MA April 20, 2017 Appliance: LG Washer WM2277HW Bearings worn out We replaced the rear outer tub assembly. While it the washer is fixed and working very well and I am happy that my father and I fixed it ourselves because we were able to take our time and clean any of the parts that had shavings from the bearings and residue from use, the repair did not go as smoothly as we had hoped. The inner tub assembly did not want to separate from the outer tub assembly and it took quite a bit of brute force to hammer the shaft out of the outer tub assembly without causing any damage. The door lock harness block is VERY difficult to detach and reattach, we were unable to grab it through the door opening and needed to go through the side with caused several cuts on my hands because of the sheet metal. We were able to get the door boot seal back on without the use of the clamp, but it did take 3 people and some strength. The washer is running nice and quiet now, but I am glad the repair is over. The video with Simon was done very well and helpful, although I suggest placing the back panel on after you replace the top hose clamps in case you happen to drop your wrench. Read More...
