David K Exeter , NH September 20, 2020 Appliance: Model LG WM0642HW - WASHER Our 12 year old LG wm0642hw washer would not fill or drain properly I replaced all the valves and the drain pump from parts from AppliancePartsPros.com. The hardest part was disassembly, especially the door gasket. Your videos made the job easier and once I knew how to remove the door gasket, the repair was pretty straight forward. Now we do have hard water and I was lax in removing the filter and cleaning the unit which is probably why the mechanical parts that control water flow failed. That will not happen due to negligence again. Dave K. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers

Michael A Arlington , MA January 26, 2020 Appliance: Model LG WM1832CW Buzzing from water inlet area fe code filled drain sink Replaced both inlet valves. Filled sink may have actually been due to a clogged sink filter, but with a 15 year old machine and buzzing solenoids didn't want to risk a mess. Machine was an LG WM1832CW . If you search you can find a service manual online. To access the valves you don't need to take off the top as some videos show. Just remove the control panel that sticks up at the back (about 7 screws), take a picture of where the connectors attach, remove them and the panel. Turn off water, unplug, disconnect hoses. Remove valves, replace, put everything back together. About a 1 1/2 hour job with no bloody knuckles if you are careful. Read More...
