How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5964753 / DA82-01396A Refrigerator Tray Ice Assembly

After shopping online for a replacement I chatted with a lady at Appliance Parts Pros. Samsung refrigerators have so many model numbers and it is difficult without help to determine just which part you need. The lady who helped was tremendous. The part arrived in just a few days. It was the correct part even though it looked a little different. When I unpacked it (it was packed very well) I noticed a plate that came with it, that I had no idea where it went. I called Appliance Parts Pro, but as I talked to them I figured out the plate went inside the refrigerator. It was easy to remove the old plate (two screws) and put the new plate in. Easy repair. The ice bucket was engineered a little different on the inside but I think this will make it easier to dispense ice. Thanks Appliance Parts Pros for your help. I will call on you again. 

Ordered new Ice Tray assembly. Removed old locking bracket and replaced with new (only had to remove/reinstall 2 screws) and installed new Ice Tray assembly. Took less than 3 minutes to complete the job. 

Installed new tray. Very simple - remove 2 screws and old bracket then install new bracket. 

Put new ice bucket easy fix very fast shipping 

Installed the new pieces easily. 

Ordered a new one to install 

Replaced the Bucket provided by AppliancePartsPros.com. The Part ordered, delivered, and installed was/is the "exact" replacement needed. This Part was not available through the Manufacturer, and we were and are very satisfied to know of a source through which the Parts needed may be obtained for a reasonable Price and timely delivery. 

Replaced the bin. 

Replaced the cracked oem ice box with a new oem non cracked ice box. 

Replaced the cracked ice tray assembly with a new one.
