How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP6287051 / DD81-02132A Dishwasher Door Lock Switch

This is the second time something on my Samsung dishwasher that is just over 1 yr old broke. I have ordered both replacement parts from here and not only did I get parts faster than getting them from someone in town they are half the price. The repairs both times were easy and I am so pleased with the quality. I have shared your website with others great service and prices. I have a feeling this dishwasher will be needing a lot of repairs and I know this will be the first place I look! 

Replaced the part with the part shown. This is the third time replacing this part and each time - it solves the problem. The door latch only lasts about a year to 18 months before it starts to "pop" when you need to force it back to the unlatched position. 

With a drill set to the lowest torque setting, removed the 12 (T20) Torx screws from the inside of the door to gain access inside the door. Replaced the latch and reinstalled the 12 screws. Super simple. 

Just remove all the screws in the inside lip of the door open clamshell and replace latch. Replace all screws. 

Ordered a Door Lock Switch assembly 

Found the part easily by searching the model number on AppliancePartsPros.com. The part arrived in two days and the installation took 15 minutes. The dishwasher works great now and this site saved me a visit from an overpriced repair specialist. 

Ordered the part. Removed the screws on the inside of the door. Removed the old switch. Plugged in the new switch and put screws back in. Simple fix and it works perfectly. 

Ordered a new one and replaced it. 

Replaced the door latch with new part. Very easy; only took about 5-10 minutes to remove inner door screws to get access to door lock switch and replace it. 

Replaced door latch. Took 10 minutes. A happy customer!
