How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP6287051 / DD81-02132A Dishwasher Door Lock Switch

Replaced the latch 

This was ALMOST the right part for my Samsung DW80J3020US, same general switch but slightly different mechanism. The electronics connected in the same way, and it seemed to fit just fine, but when I tried to run the cycle, it just beeped like the door was still open. It turns out the I switch needs a little more room to fully open, so I just backes out the screws on the door panel a little to give the switch more room. That worked! So the secret is: Don't screw it everything down too tight! 

Followed u-tube directions. ordered correct part. 

Using your website, I entered the model number of the dishwasher and selected the drawing for the door. I had already removed the upper part of the door to reveal the door lock that was broken. The picture on the diagram was an exact match so I ordered it. The part arrived a few days later and I put the door back together. 

I replaced the door lock switch with a new one and that resolved the issue. 

Ordered a new door lock/switch assembly from AppliancePartsPros.com. Received part within 2 days. Exaimed the part which was correct/ complete. 

I replaced the latch, and I also replaced the seal since I was working on it.

When the part arrived, I unscrewed the panel from the dishwasher door with my power drill and correct bit. I unplugged the broken part and replaced it with the new part you had sent to me.I put the panel back on the dishwasher door and it was fixed. I was actually proud of myself that I did this! Your website is excellent. Once I knew the part number, I found it on your website and ordered this. I did contact your Customer Service team and they were very friendly, very courteous and let me know when the part would arrive. It arrived in two days! Thank you! 

We replaced the Door Lock Switch. Quick easy and fast less than 15 minutes. 

Part fits perfectly. Watched youtube on replacing the Door Lock Switch. Easy. Took about 20 minutes.
