How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5322472 / DE94-02001C Microwave Control Panel Assembly

After trying to clean the contact several times, which didn't work, I decided to try and replace the control panel. I had to remove the circuit board and metal frame from the old panel and insert into the new panel. 

After online chat, it was recommended that we try and replace Assy control panel. So far so good going on two weeks no issues. Very easy to replace if you can work a screw driver you can do this. 

Part was delivered quickly and in perfect condition. I removed the vent cover, unscrewed the one screw holding the panel, and tilted it down as shown in the video. The video I watched did not show me, but I realized the ribbon needed to be unhooked, circuit board needed to be unscrewed and removed, then the metal box. These were then installed onto the new control panel, whole assembly put back in place, and vent cover put back on. Hardest part was getting the circuit board back in place, but not too bad. Works perfectly! 

After trying a few cleaning tips on the circuit board, which worked a couple times but for very short periods, I bought a replacement module. This didn't include the circuit board which I thought it did, but didn't matter because it turned out to be all that was needed. Very easy to switch things over to the new module. Its been several days and its working fine. Samsung SMH9187ST 

After using a variety of YouTube temporary fixes, I finally diagnosed the problem on the AppliancePartsPros website and ordered the necessary repair part - the Assembly Control Panel (Part #D94-02001C. The part arrived in two days, and since I had some practice taking out the old part, the process of replacing it with the new panel (a relatively easy job) took less than half an hour. The microwave is now operating like new! 

After trying some cleaning to get rid of the SE error code, I ordered a new control panel and a new grille. Both took about 6-7 days to arrive; the Xmas and New Years weekend slowed delivery down. The parts came well-boxed and protected. The plastic film on the control panel wasn't applied by the factory with the same quality process as the original, so along the edges there were small bubbles of air and overall was not applied as well. However, it's not a big deal. The installation of both new items went well and just took some care in getting the old parts out and the new ones installed. Works great now. 

Went on line and googled the code, found a utube video that explained pretty much how to correct the problem but also suggested that it could be temporary and the best way was to replace the touch pad assembly. Ordered the unit and installed it in about 30 minutes and has been working fine ever since. 

I replaced the Control Panel Assembly. 

We ordered the new control panel frame assembly, which includes a new keypad. My husband replaced the part in 10 minutes and it works perfectly! 

Researched replacement part. Ordered it online through appliancepartspros.com. Replaced with new part after it arrived and microwave is now working again!
