How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5324179 / DC97-16596A Washer Door Boot Seal

Replaced diaphram 

I purchased a replacement seal from your company. There were numerous step by step videos on YouTube. It took about 2 hours to change out the seal. 

Replaced gasket/diaphragm. 

A zipper caught and tore the door gasket on our Samsung front load washer. Followed YouTube instruction and simple fix. Remove top, control panel, and front cover.I did take off the top and bottom counter balance weights for easier access. Took me about 2.5 hours but moved slow and cleaned all parts as I went along, including drain filter. Can be done much faster if you are not as picky as me. I did not remove the control panel harness as there was enough slack in the wires to permit just laying the whole panel across the top of the washer frame on top of a beach towel. 

Unplugged. Removed tension ring and gasket from front panel. Disconnected water line from top of gasket. Removed top (2 screws). Removed control panel and soap drawer and set on top (5 screws). Removed front panel (4 screws on top, 2 screws bottom left and unplugged door wires). Removed top concrete weight (2 bolts). Removed tension ring and gasket from tub. Reassembled in reverse order. Tested and have no leaks. Pretty simple job. There are plenty of videos out there to give assistance of needed. 

I ended up changing the bellow. The video was informative, but I had an slightly different model that required an extra 2 steps. It was not too challenging, just a little tedious. Long story short, the part works and my washer does not leak. This was a relative easy job, just a little tedious. 

Installed new tub boot 

Top removal and front removal. Replaced top and bottom weights with door seal. 

Replace counterweight and door seal. Added thread locker on the bolts. 

Easy fix took about 15 min
