How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5577941 / DG94-00520A Range Oven Igniter

Replaced igniter 

Replaced the electronic igniter. Or better yet glow plug. 

Replaced the Hot Surface Igniter. The first replacement arrived broken. I called and AppliancePartsPros sent a new one that arrived two days later. The connectors were different. I used the chat feature on this website and was told it was okay to cut the wires to swap connectors. I was told to use a ceramic wire nut. Took me a while to chase down porcelain wire nuts. I changed the connectors, replaced the part, put the oven back together...425 degrees in 12 minutes! I'm very, very happy. If the connectors were the same it would have taken 30 minutes or less. 

1) Removed splash pan. 2) Removed flame spreader. 3) Had to remove gas pipe, in order to replace the igniter/glow bar. Simple fix actually. 30 minutes tops, to complete the job. Appliance parts PROS, have a video, that shows you exactly how to make the repair. Love those guys! 

I bought a new ignitor. Works great. easy to put in and shipped very fast. 

Ordered part and it arrived the next day. Oven is back up and running.

My oven igniter had caught on fire due to our own neglegence. So we got online and quickly found the part on this sight, ordered a new one, and quickly received. We installed it quite easily and now I have my oven back.
