How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5577941 / DG94-00520A Range Oven Igniter

Samsung Range (oven) not heating up. Approximately 5yrs old. Burners and broiler working fine but the oven would not heat up at all. This happened with our last oven over 10 years ago and we purchased the igniter from AppliancePartsPros at that time. My husband replaced the igniter on this oven and we are back to baking. 

I found this YouTube video which explained exactly how to fix the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ucwq1rCHws I am not handy, however when I saw that the problem could be fixed using only a screwdriver, I figured why not try it. It took maybe 10 min to switch the new part for the broken one after I removed all the shielding. Since we're under lockdown, I can honestly say that without the video and the ability to get a part delivered I would still be without a working oven. I opted for an OEM part to avoid splicing wires. 

The fix took a little bit more than I expected however the repair overall was pretty easy. 

I have ordered parts for a Whirlpool refrigerator and Samsung stove and oven. Each item I ordered was exactly what I needed. Most recently I ordered for next day delivery. The parts came in the next day as promised. I was able to DIY the fixes. Great online customer service as well. 

The husband told me what part to order. Part arrived at 10 am he had it installed by 10:30 am 

As recommended by Appliance for the Samsung Oven the gas igniter was the most likely cause of the problem. Ordered the igniter and 2-day later the part arrived just in time for Thanksgiving. 

Replaced the igniter 

Watched youtube video and ordered the part. It was delivered in 2 days. 

Youtube most likely part to fail in my oven and recommended the igniter, found one at appliance parts and ordered it ... easy peezy repair, worked and all is well
