How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5577572 / DA97-00209Z Refrigerator Ice Maker Fill Tube Assembly

Watched the video from Appliance Parts, and followed their procedure 

Replaced the fill tube. 

Replaced the fill tube. The original was frozen solid. The video on this web site was extremely ghelpful. 

Replaced the icemaker fill tube. 

Extremely simple fix, I watch the video and it took less than hour, which included cleaning the freezer. However this is second time this year I had to replace it. The first time I bought the fill tube from a different source, the cheapest I could find. It was also not complete. Hoping for this one to last much longer. 

Replaced the fill tube and it is working now. 

Replaced water inlet tube. 

Replaced the fill tube. Samsung repair wanted to charge me $900 for a $60 part and 15 minutes of time to replace the part. 

After viewing repair videos & speaking to your very knowledgeable & helpful customer service rep. I was able to determine what the bad part was & purchased it & it solved my problem. 

I replaced the ice maker feed tube DA97-00209Z and the bottom ice maker assembly DA97-07603B. Had trouble removing two Phillips head screws at the front of the ice maker using a regular screwdriver. Watched the video again and noticed he was using a long-shaft screwdriver. I have one of those. worked like a charm. I wasted a couple of hours before realizing the shorter screwdrivers could not get a grip on the Phillips head screws because they were cocked at an angle and not vertical. The rest was easy, just as in the video. I now have ice and a dry floor.
