How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4579344 / DC96-01585D Washer Drain Pump Assembly

I was able to locate the drain pump I needed on your website at a VERY low price compared to other outlets. I found a DIY video for the repair online and decided to try it myself. I ordered online on a Sunday and had my part Tuesday...washer was fixed in two days for less than $90 versus waiting for a service person and paying $350. This was an excellent experience. I will definitely use your services in the future. 

ND error code on the washer. Could hear the lump trying to go but would just hummm when it came to that part of the cycle and then the machine would finally error out. Called a service repair man to see how much it would cost me to fix...they quoted upwards of $375. Crazy!!! If you can use a screw driver,YouTube, and little common sense (and you know exactly what's wrong with the unit), you can work on these things, they're super easy! Had to take the top off by removing a couple screws out of the back, take the main control panel and board off with a few screws, remove the front panel (this is most tricky with the rubber boot for the unit (YouTube helped a lot here!) to get to the pump. You could access it from the back as well but I recommend taking a little extra time to take the front off because accessing it from the back panel is a pain. I removed the power source, removed hose clamps and basically put everything back together again (I did remove all interior hoses and cleaned them out, you may wanna do this too if you've owned the unit longer than a few years because they get pretty gross). All-in-all a pretty essy fix and was able to save about $300.

My drain pump went out. I bought the new part and installed it fairly easy. Drained the unit. Tilted the unit on its side and un-screwed the screws holding the pump in place. Then un-fastened the hoses going into the drain pump. Put the new one into place and tested the unit to see if it would work. And it did. Saved big by not having someone come out and tell me what I already knew. Fixed in under an hour. Would have been faster with another pair of hands. Works better than when I bought it new. 

Repair man wanted $340 to fix it. Heck with that, ordered it Thur night - shipped Friday - on my doorstep Sat. That was standard delivery too, not rushed. My son and I did the repair in under 2 hours. The hardest part was pulling the washer/dryer (stacked) unit out of the small closet in my condo. Simple to replace and worked perfectly. 

I replaced the drain pump unit (14yo Samsung washer) using one from AppliancePartsPros.com The installation video on the website was VERY helpful. I watched it before I bought the part to see how involved the job was, and found it was pretty easy. Washer runs like a champ after the replacement.

Needed repair person but since I run a small care home for the elderly we have laundry all the time. Next day delivery meant that to these guys. Had it up and running by the weekend. Kept my staff from hauling even more laundry to the laundromat. You couldn't access the inside panel from this wretched model easily so no DIY
