Broken ice arm and broken ice cubes.

My Ice maker had produced broken ice for years, and then the ice arm broke off while opening the freezer drawer so it convinced me to replace the entire unit. It was quite simple - it took longer to unload the freezer contents into coolers than to replace the ice maker. The appliance parts pros video was helpful. Two Phillips screws, old Icemaker slides out, and unclip wiring connection. Very easy. I was able to replace the ice maker without removing the main freezer drawer from its drawer slices. Everything works fine now, and the ice produced is in full unbroken cube form - no crushed ice or ice shavings. And a good excuse to clean out the freezer.

Lower ice maker not working on Samsung rf323tedbsr/aa rev 4

Removed and replaced bad ice maker. Easy to do, removed two screws, disconnected one wire harness, slid out bad ice maker, installed new ice maker by attaching wire harness, sliding into position and attaching with two screws. Pressed the reset button and a few hours later ice maker is working!

There was no error code associated with this failure. the ice maker was physically broken by a “berg”of ice from an apparent leak in the ice tray. My wife opened the freezer as usual and broke it
