How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4206426 / DC66-00470A Washer Front Shock Absorber

7 year old unit, Started replacing shocks with after-market units, and not much difference. Then I replaced the spyder arm as it was corroded though not broken, and decided to change the bearings at the same time, as well as replace the balance ring as the old one did show signs of wear. None of these helped much. Then I replaced the shocks with factory OEM more expensive they did help a great deal, but still not the complete fix. Upon examining the pedestal adjusted feet more closely I found they would not tighten, and were loose fitting in the base fixture, as the shaking apparently wore them. I removed the plastic locking disc and replaced it with an M10 -1.5 Flanged Hex Nut and leveled the washer, then locked them down. For extra measure placed another Hex Nut on the other end of the threaded foot and locked it down from the top side. Perfect not a sign of any wobble or creaking when trying to shake the washer by hand. Suggest before doing anything, jack up the washer and shake those adjustable feet laterally and see if they are loose in the fixture nut, if they are that is most likely a big part your problem. 

I replaced the spider shaft on the back of the clothes drum. The old one was completely broken. While I had the disassembled I replaced the shock absorbers. They seemed to be working but had grease leaking on the shafts. The washer now operates like it did when it was new; very quiet, spins like a jet engine and the clothes come out clean and nearly dry. 

Watched a 45 minute video on your website that explained what might be the problem with my machine. I took the machine apart per all of the step by step processes outlines perfectly in the video. Found out the "Spider" was broken and ordered all the parts recommended. I added the shocks to the list because they may have been part of the reason it broke, and if not they took a beating once it was broken. It took about 2.5 hours to put the machine back together once my parts arrived. I am happy to report that the machine works like new again....! After disassembling to replace the shocks I discovered the spider arm was broken. Repair is on hold as the parts needed to be ordered. The videos on your Web site are extremely helpful. Watching the video saved a great deal of time with disassembling the machine in the proper order. 

Replaced spider shaft ,bearings, seal and shocks, 4 hr. job went well works great . electrolosis problem /w samsung washers using stainless drum and alloy spider shaft. big problem .w samsung but they still use same parts .do research before buying samsung. 

My parts came in really fast! The underlying problem was galvanic corrosion of the spider bracket. I got a can of Flex Seal and coated the entire thing with several coats on both sides to eliminate the dissimilar metal contact between the stainless steel tub and the mystery metal spider bracket. There are a lot of grooves to direct the spray into; made sure to cover them well. Another helpful tip...use a muffin pan or little baggies with label for where each of the different types of screws go back to. This will save you a ton of time. 

Replaced the Spider assy, and the shock absorber 

I changed the skock absorbers front and back , also the top springs. washer works like new.. two month ago I changed the yoke in the tub. I should have changed the shock absorbers at that time. 

Replaced rear shocks and installed new pump. Easy part of repair was ordering parts and receiving the parts in one day. 

Replaced all 4 shocks. Removal of old shocks was straightforward. Re-install was difficult aligning shock mounting bolt. No working room to apply force or impact on bolt head. After three hours of trying completed install. Be sure to wear good cut resistant gloves - work area full of sharp edges.
