How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4205355 / DC64-00519B Washer Door Lock Switch Assembly

Swapped part 

I bought the complete door latch assembly from appliancepartspros.com and along with their online tutorial I was able to fix the issue myself quite easily! 

After I had unplugged the washer, I had taken off and lifted the rubber that was near the switch, then I unscrewed the door switch to take out the bad switch and replace it with the new switch. It went well. 

Replaced door catch/lock and replaced door bezel Bezel had latching tabs that did not fit my washer. After many minutes of frustration I finally just broke off the tabs to get the bezel flush and mounted it. . Replaced drain filter assembly to resolve the leak. 

Received the parts in two days and had my washer repaired in about 15 minutes! Easy repair. Good quality parts. 

Though replacing the part was easy, it didn't fix the problem. I'm afraid the problem is on the control panel. 

Replaced door lock mechanism.

At first, they seem daunting, but actually, it ended up being quite easy, the entire repair requiring no more than 10 minutes. My hats off to AppliancePartsPros.com. I found my part on the site and ordered it. When it arrived I watched the "How To" video for that part and followed the instructions. The only problem I had was putting the outside spring ring back in, but with a little persistence, it went in and the washer is working fine. I had been using the washer with a mop holding the door closed, which worked for a temp fix while I waited for my part to arrive!
